The company became a joint-stock company called Companhia Karsten (Karsten Company). In 1938, Christian Karsten left the company, leaving João and his son Walter assuming the continuity of the business. The company name was changed to Companhia Têxtil Karsten (Karsten Textile Company) in 1941, changing the logo to a white K surrounded by three tulips.
After the end of the Second World War, there was a technological leap forward made by acquiring the first imported Güsken looms. At this point begins the production of fabrics for decoration with manual printing. Karsten celebrated his 75th anniversary with style and inaugurated the House of the Community with the presence of João, his wife Olga and their children Walter, Edeltraut and Ralf.
